Vacation care

Our legacy of care

Blacktown City Council introduced Vacation Care in the 1990s, around the same time as its first Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service. These programs were initially attached to existing OSHC school partnerships in the 2770 precinct and Blacktown South. Kids' Early Learning Vacation Care continues Council's long-standing service of care, where we continue to improve and enhance our programs to meet the ever-changing needs and interests of children.

We ensure that our children are safe, engaged and healthy during the holidays

Vacation Care supports working families during the school holidays, giving parents a peace of mind. Through structured programs, excursions, and engaging activities and collaborations, discover the magical fun of our vacation care program.

We are a Child Safe organisation.

Our children's safety and wellbeing are our highest priority. We comply with NSW Child Protection legislation and implement strict Child Safe Standards across all our services, creating a trusting and supportive environment for every child.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Our Kids' Early Learning Vacation Care services are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy. The CCS is a government initiative that helps reduce out-of-pocket expenses for families based on factors such as income, activity levels, and the type of care required. To get a better understanding of what your CCS eligibility is, please visit the Centrelink website or reaching out to our team for assistance.

To receive CCS:

  • The primary parent or guardian must be the applicant for the subsidy.
  • Your CCS eligibility is determined by Centrelink based on your family's income, activity level (work, study, or training), and type of child care service used.
  • Ensure your Centrelink Reference Number (CRN) is provided when enrolling.

For more details on how to apply, eligibility requirements, and subsidy calculations, visit www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/child-care-subsidy.
