Kids' Early Learning Blackett OSHC

About us

Established in 2025, Blackett OSHC services students enrolled at Blackett Public School, Shalvey Public School, Noumea Public School, and Dawson Public School.

To make before and after school care more accessible, we provide a complimentary morning and afternoon bus shuttle service between the schools and our OSHC service, offering local families added convenience and peace of mind.

Meet the Coordinator

Violet Shankar.jpegViolet Shankar

The greatest reward in this profession is having a positive influence on children's lives and watching them grow, learn and develop. Having worked in the early childhood education and care sector for over 15 years, I am grateful to be part of a supportive organisation that fosters confidence and growth not only in children, but also in educators. I love singing, dancing and sharing stories with children, bringing books and characters to life through creativity, imagination and play.

My philosophy

As an OSHC coordinator, I believe in providing a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and respected. I support play-based, child-led experiences that encourage creativity, independence and social development.

I am committed to promoting children's wellbeing, building strong partnerships with families and schools and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture. Guided by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority and the National Quality Framework, I strive for continuous improvement and high-quality care that supports each child's growth and development.
