We had some surprised faces at Kids' Early Learning Dean Park as the children became little scientists for Science Week!
Their favorite experiment was the leak proof bag, the children discussed what they thought would happen when a sharp pencil went through a plastic zip lock bag filled with water. Many thought it would spill, to much surprise after a total of 12 pencils were pierced through the bag - nothing leaked at all! It was a great way to get the children thinking and excited about the wonderful world of science 🤓

The children at Kids' Early Learning Marayong have been collecting and cutting the stalks of celery from the kitchen. They started by putting them in a shallow dish of water and left them in the water for about a week, changing the water daily and observing regularly. Children also have been regularly measuring the length of the celery.
Once the celery was ready, the children planted it into the rich soil in the garden and they will continue to water it. The children are looking forward to eating the celery.
The children are learning more about how celery is grown and where food comes from.
The holidays are here and we hope you and your children will enjoy your break from school.
