Kids’ Early Learning is a respected and trusted childcare service owned and operated by Blacktown City Council where we’ve been operating for more than 40 years.

We are one of the largest childcare operations in the state, with more than 1,700 children across 25 services. We work hard together to give children the best start to life.

Working at a centre

You will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in all aspects of working with children aged 6 weeks - 12 years within our long day care centres, preschools, before and after school care and family day care educators.

A minimum to be eligible to be considered for positions you will need:

  • Must be a permanent resident and over 18 years of age
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check
  • Meet the essential criteria listed in the position description
  • Have current drivers licence or access to own transport
  • Must be able to work rosters between 6.45am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday
  • Be self-motivated
  • Reliable
  • A strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A ‘can do' attitude and a drive to succeed

Working as a family day care educator

We have over 70 educators working from home around the Blacktown City Council area.

The advantages of working as a family day care educator are:

To be eligible to work as a family day care educator you must:

  • Have a minimum Cert III in children services, or a diploma or degree in early childhood
  • Be permanent resident and over 18 years of age
  • Provide a Working With Children Check yourself and each member in family that are over 18
  • Have right to work in Australia
  • PRODA registration
  • Must hold First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR certificates
  • Meet the essential criteria listed in the position description
  • Be self-motivated
  • Be reliable
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a drive to succeed
  • Have necessary skills to run a small, home-based business

Work Experience Program

Thank you for your interest in undertaking work experience with Kids' Early Learning.

We have a variety of child care service types such as, long day care, preschool and before and after school care.

Work experience placements are available in the following areas: Blackett - Dean Park - Doonside - Glendenning - Hassall Grove - Kings Langley - Kings Park - Lalor Park - Marayong - Minchinbury - Mount Druitt - Prospect - Quakers Hill - Riverstone - Rooty Hill - Seven Hills - Willmot.

Work experience is unpaid on-the-job training and participants will be treated as volunteers. Work experience placement requests are considered in the order that they are received by the business.
